Project: Harmony Life
An international benchmark for sustainable and innovative architecture
1. Stilted Design as an Innovative Solution
The project adopts a stilted architecture concept, with all structures elevated 10 feet above a protected wetland ecosystem, completely avoiding landfill in areas designated for construction. This approach:
-
Preserves the ecological integrity of the site.
-
Allows the natural flow of water, air, and wildlife.
-
Represents a technical and cultural response adapted to the environment, commonly used in sensitive areas worldwide (e.g., Amazon, Asia, coastal regions resilient to climate change).
This solution aligns with bioclimatic and resilient architectural practices, making it a globally replicable model.
2. Minimal Intervention and Active Preservation of the Environment
-
Only 20% of the total area is occupied by infrastructure.
-
Internal roads, the only areas with soil intervention, are designed with box culverts, allowing water flow and wildlife passage.
The design fosters a harmonious coexistence between infrastructure and nature — a central quality of 21st-century urban design standards.
3. Compliance with LEED Standards
The project demonstrates alignment with international sustainability standards such as LEED, excelling in:
-
Protection of sensitive ecosystems
-
Green infrastructure and regenerative design
-
Low water and climate impact
-
Sustainable architectural innovation
This positions Harmony Life as an ideal candidate for international certifications and as a model of responsible design against climate change.
4. Morphological Coherence, Landscape Integration, and Sensory Experience
Through analysis of the Master Plan and provided renderings, the following can be observed:
-
Light volumetry, harmonious proportions, and elevated structures creating a sensation of floating and visual lightness.
-
Respectful landscape integration, generating contemplative spaces and an immersive experience with nature.
-
Use of modular elements enabling flexible construction and international replicability.
